A brief interlude of command. Othello sends Iago with letters for the senate, then walks out to inspect the fortifications of Cyprus.

[ENTER OTHELLO, IAGO, AND GENTLEMEN]
OTHELLO
These letters give, Iago, to the pilot;
Give my ship’s captain these letters, Iago;
And by him do my duties to the senate:
And have him send my greetings to the senate.
That done, I will be walking on the works;
When done, I will be walking on the ramparts;
Repair there to me.
Come find me there.
IAGO
Well, my good lord, I'll do't.
I will do that, my lord.
OTHELLO
This fortification, gentlemen, shall we see't?
Shall we set off to see the castle, gents?
GENTLEMAN
We'll wait upon your lordship.
We’ll wait for your direction, sir.
